: An AIADMK sympathiser has booked "Vallasadya",a ritualistic feast of the famous Sree Parthasarathy temple at Aranmula in Kerala's Pathanamthitta district, in the name of the party supremo Jayalalithaa.

The ceremonial feast, in which several persons will be fed, is to held in August 2015, the season of the "Vallasadya."

The booking was made by a Chennai-based Malayali and AIADMK sympathiser for "early release" of the former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, according to temple sources.

According to Ratheesh R Mohan, secretary of "palliyoda seva sangham" that organises the "vallasadya", one booking costs around Rs 50,000. Three bookings had been made in the name of Jayalalitha.

While film stars and cricketers have offered the ritual at the shrine earlier, this was for the first time that the ritual is being performed in the name of a political leader from outside the state.

As part of the ritual, a sumptuous feast will be provided to the rowers of 'palliyodams' (snake boats) and other devotees.

Jayalalithaa has been at Parappana Agrahara central prison in Bangalore since September 27 after a Special Court in that city sentenced her to four years in prison, besides imposing a Rs 100 crore fine in the Rs 66.65 crore disproportionate assets case.
