Rama Rao, who recently joined the YSR Congress party, said the industrial and agricultural sectors in the state were facing severe problems due to wrong policies being adopted by the UPA and the Kiran Reddy government.
Alleging that the industrial growth had come to a standstill, Rao said the state government has totally neglected the sector and the industrialists were not showing interest to invest in Andhra Pradesh due to severe power crisis and labour problems.
He said due to severe power crisis, the farmers were facing many problems.
Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC president B Satyanarayana are misleading the public on industrial investments and employment of youth, he alleged.
He demanded that the UPA and the State government take immediate steps for the release the YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, who "strived hard for the industrial growth and creating employment for youth in the state".
He said FAPI wants the state government to central excise and sales tax subsidy on diesel to help the industrial and agricultural sectors.
