Faridabad MLA announces insurance cover for women on Rakhi

Faridabad MLA Vipul Goel today celebrated 'Raksha Bandhan' with slum dwellers of the city, while announcing an insurance policy of Rs 2 lakhs for women, under Prime Minister Suraksha Policy scheme.

Celebrating the brother-sister festival, little girls from the slums tied rakhi on the MLA's hand.

On the occasion, Goel announced an insurance policy of Rs 2,00,000 for women under Prime Minister Suraksha Policy scheme.

He also heard out the problems of locals and assured them to resolve the same at the earliest.

He said that problems like that of pension, ration card and electricity meter would be resolved soon and he is proposing to hold special camps for the same.
 

The MLA visited Prem Nagar, Sector-8 Trimurti Dharmshala, Sector-4R and Krishan Colony areas of the city.

On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, sisters tie 'rakhi' (sacred thread) on the wrists of their brothers which symbolises their love for them while the brothers promise to protect them always.
