A 41-year-old man, who allegedly tried to commit suicide by consuming acid, died at a hospital here, police said today.
Sunil Ijardar of Keelod village, who allegedly drank acid while being alone at his house on June 16 and was being treated at the government-run Maharaja Yeshwantrao Hospital here, died yesterday, they said.
Police said a failed business venture was the reason behind him taking the extreme step, even as his brother, Makhanlal, claimed that Sunil was unable to pay back a loan, which drove him to commit suicide.
