A 42-year-old farmer died of shock and cardiac arrest after seeing the destruction of his crop in unseasonal rains which have lashed most parts of Uttar Pradesh in the past few days.
Mahipal suffered heart attack in Lodholi village of Barsana area yesterday after seeing his crops washed away in rain, officials at the District Headquarters said.
He was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, they said.

Deputy Collector of the Chata district Surendra Singh said the matter is being investigated.
He said assessment of crop loss is being carried out and if the losses is over 50 per cent then compensation will be provided to the deceased farmer's family.
