A farmer died of electrocution

after he came in contact with an electric fencing near his fields in Pusgawan village in the Bilsi area, the police said today.

Sukhvir (40) died last night when he came in contact with the electric fencing that was erected by a man to prevent animals entering his fields, they said.

The matter came to fore this morning when Sukhvir's body was spotted in the fields, police said.

An FIR has been lodged against two persons in this regard, they added.
