Farmer electrocuted after touching live electric wire

A 60-year-old farmer was electrocuted in his farm at Kuhi, near the city last night, the police said here today.

The police said that one Chandra Sekhar Gulab Mahajan working in his field accidentally came in contact with a live electric wire and got electrocuted.

He did not return home from his field and his body found today morning.

The police registered a case of accidental death and a further investigation in on, the police said.

Police sources said that it is being suspected that the deceased farmer who was debt ridden, might also have commmitted suicide.

However, no suicide note was found, the police said.
