A 55-year old farmer was trampled to death by an elephant in a forest area in Burgur in the district, police said today.
The body of Kulandaisamy of Kalvarai was found by cattle grazers in the Kalvarai forest yesterday, they said.
The body had markings of elephant trampling and doctors at Anthyuir Government Hospital confirmed the farmer died in an attack by elephant, police said.
