Farmer robbed of Rs 1.90 lakh

A farmer was today robbed of Rs 1.90 lakh by two bike-borne miscreants at gun-point in Jhajhar road here, police said.

Dhoom Singh, resident of Rohi village, had gone with his son Harinder to the ATM and withdrew Rs 1.90 lakh, they said.

While Singh was returning on motorcycle, two bike-borne men came, snatched the bag containing the cash at gun-point and fled, police said.

Singh was beaten up when he offered resistance.

An FIR has been lodged at Jewar police station in this regard and a manhunt launched to nab the robbers, police said.
