Day was observed in Mizoram today to commemorate the launching of the New Land Use Policy (NLUP) in 2010.
Addressing the main function here, Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla expressed happiness that many beneficiaries of the NLUP, the flagship programme of his government, had now become self-sufficient.
The day was also observed in all the eight district headquarters and cash rewards and prizes were given to successful NLUP beneficiaries, official sources said.
