Ahead of Chief Minister Vasundhra Raje's Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra in Kota division, PCC chief Sachin Pilot slammed her, saying farmers in the division have committed suicide due to low garlic prices and the government's apathy towards the issue.

He said garlic was sold for Rs 2 per kg and seven farmers committed suicide in the last few days because they could not get reasonable price for their crops.

"After their suicide, the government started procuring garlic but only 90,000 ton out of 8 lakh ton was procured," he told reporters here.

Raje's Gaurav Yatra is scheduled to begin in Kota division on Friday.
