Around 300 farmers from different villages of the area today held protest demonstration before Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) office demanding 64.7 per cent hiked compensation among others.
Later, the farmers led by their leader Manvir Bhati announced an indefinite dharna to press for their demands which also included 10 per cent developed land and 120 square meter plots for landless farmers.
"From tomorrow, farmers from two villages will sit at the dharna daily till our demands are met. Our demand is 64.7 per cent hiked compensation, 10 per cent developed land as per court directions," Bhati told reporters here.

Meanwhile, the district administration and police had made elaborate arrangements in view of farmers protests.
