A number of issues ranging from a policy to deal with the problem of missing children in the country to a loan waiver for farmers in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra were raised in Lok Sabha today.
BJP member Birendra Singh raised the issue of human trafficking during Zero Hour saying 1,77,660 children have been missing between 2009 to 2011 of which only 1,22,190 have been found.
Out of the 55,000 missing children, 35,615 are minor girls, he said making a strong plea for making the National Human Rights Commission and National Commission for Protection of Children's Rights more pro-active.

P Karunakaran (CPI-M) sought a ban on the use of Endosulphan pesticide.
