A farmer has received an extortion letter with a live cartridge at Gandrao village of Shamli district, police said today.
The farmer, Irfan, yesterday found the letter with a cartridge in an envelope in his house.
A demand of Rs six lakh was made in the letter and it was mentioned that if he failed to meet their demand, he would be killed, police said.
Irfan later informed police who are investigating the matter.
