In all 665 farmers including Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha and Hasiru Sene members were taken into preventive custody.
They accused the government of "grabbing farmers' fertile land to lure industrialists", police sources told PTI.
Of the 665 protestors, two were taken into preventive custody when they barged into venue posing as delegates and shouted slogans against the government while Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda's was delivering his inaugural address.
