Farmers, youths will benefit from Vinchur food park: Bhujbal

Former minister Chhagan Bhujbal on Wednesday said farmers and local youths would benefit from the food processing park at Vinchur in Nashik district of Maharashtra.

He said farmers will be paid the support price for the agricultural produce by the industries in the park.

"Processing of white onions, corns, green peas, carrots, garlic, and cauliflower will be done in the park, which is one of biggest such facility in Asia," a release from Bhujbal's office quoted him as saying.

The senior NCP leader said 10,000 farmers in the region have signed industry agreements to bring their produce to the park.

"Farmers will be paid through cheques. Local youths will gets jobs in the food industry," he said.
