Farooq, Omar express shock over Kollam, Doda incidents

National Conference patron Farooq Abdullah and Working President Omar Abdullah today expressed shock over the Puttingal Devi Temple fire tragedy in Kollam and an accident in Doda in Jammu and Kashmir in which a bus fell into a deep gorge, killing six persons.

The former chief ministers expressed shock and sadness over the Kollam temple fire incident in which at least a 100 persons were killed and 383 injured, a party spokesman said.

Describing the incident as heart-rending, Farooq and Omar, in separate messages, conveyed their condolences to the grieving families and wished speedy recovery to the injured. They prayed for peace to departed souls and strength to the families for bearing the irreparable loss, he said.
 

The NC leaders also expressed shock and grief over the a tragic road accident in Dhara, Doda district in which six persons were killed and 56 injured and conveyed their condolences to the bereaved families.

Farooq and Omar prayed for peace for the departed souls and expressed solidarity with the grieving families. They also wished speedy recovery to those injured in the road mishap.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal expressed deep shock and anguish over the temple fire near Kollam in Kerala.

Expressing profound grief and sorrow over this disastrous accident, the Chief Minister shared his heartfelt sympathies with the members of the bereaved families.
