Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Farooq Abdullah and Working President Omar Abdullah have expressed grief and shock over the death of seven persons in a helicopter crash in Katra today.
In separate messages, Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah described the incident as tragic and prayed for peace to the departed souls. The two leaders also conveyed their condolences to the bereaved families.
National Conference General Secretary Ali Mohammed Sagar, Provincial President Jammu Devender Singh Rana, senior functionaries of the party and legislators also expressed grief over the incident and conveyed their condolences.

The helicopter had crashed in Katra at the new bus stand area after catching fire following a suspected bird hit, in the first fatal plane accident in this holy town.
