Director-producer Kiran Rao, who is known for her relaxed style, says she is not much of a fashion aficionado and rarely follows trends.

"Fashion is a complicated thing to me... And I am trying to understand it. I think fashion should be unique for every person as it provides people an opportunity to show their personality.

"I don't follow trends. I wear something that I like. I love sari though I don't wear it myself," Kiran said at the launch of a fashion store last night.

Yash Raj Films (YRF) launched its first Bollywood- inspired fashion line Diva'ni.

Asked if her actor-husband Aamir Khan gives suggestions on fashion, the 'Dhobi Ghat' director replied in the negative.

"He doesn't suggest me anything. At times I seek his opinion on what I am wearing."

Meanwhile, Kiran is happy that a fair number of women have found representation in the new Narendra Modi Government.

"I think to bring women in Government is a good thing, women will bring new ideas."

On the controversy over HRD Minister Smriti Irani's educational qualification, the filmmaker said education level of a Minister matters a lot.
