A man was arrested along with three others for allegedly murdering his son over a property dispute at Saikheda village in Maharashtra, police said today.

Victim Ganesh Chaure was murdered on December 13, 2014 in the same village in Sangram tehsil of Buldhana district, police said.

Ganesh's father Subhash Chaure, brother Sharad and two others -- Muralidhar Pise and Madhu Maharaj Pise-- were arrested on Friday in connection with the case, they said.

The incident came to light after the brother-in-law of Ganesh lodged a police complaint alleging that he had been abducted, they said.

Based on the complaint, police arrested Subhash, who later admitted during interrogation that he, along with his son Sharad and two others, had murdered Ganesh last year as a fallout of an old property dispute, police said.

According to police, Ganesh's body had been set on fire after the murder. On Saturday, police went to the crime spot and collected the remains of the body.

All the four accused were produced before a local court, which remanded them in police custody till March 27, they said.
