Bodies of Santosh Gupta (30) and his three-year old daughter Mahi were found in their house in Nakkhas locality in Chowk area here, they said.
Police are suspecting that both of them were poisoned by the same person but have not ruled out suicide.
Gupta's wife is missing and a search is on to trace her, police said, adding that they are investigating into the case.
