Bodies of a man and his married daughter were today recovered from Barabankua jungle under Muffasil police station limits in West Singhbhum district, the police said.
The victim Marki Sundi had visited his daughter Budhni Boipai's place in Pasubeda on October 13 and did not return home, officer-in-charge of the police station, Digvijay Singh, said.
When Marki did not return after two days, his wife Balu Sundi left for her daughter's place to enquire, but did not find anyone at home, he said adding Balu had registered a missing report with the police station in this regard.

As the villagers were passing through the jungle today, they spotted something suspicious in a sack and informed the police.
A police team rushed to the spot and found the bodies.
Marki's son-in-law Sidui Boipai was also missing, Singh said adding, the police have launched a search operation to trace Sidui.
