Two persons including a 17-year-old boy drowned while taking taking bath at a water falls near here today, police said.
The incident occurred this morning when the victims N Lakshminarasimhan(51), a professor at a city-based engineering college and his son, Nandagopal, on a visit to Thirukkurungudi Vaishnavavite temple, had gone to Nambi falls along with two other members of the family, they said.
While taking bath at the falls, the duo were caught in a vortex and drowned.
On receiving information, police rushed to the spot and retrieved the bodies.
A case has been registered, police said.
