Father-son duo held for issuing fake air tickets

A man and his son, running a travel agency from Deoria district in Uttar Pradesh, were arrested here for allegedly preparing fake Air Arabia flight tickets for two passengers headed to Sharjah, police said today.

Param Hans and his son Amit Kumar, who ran Lucknow Travels and preparing the fake air tickets of Air Arabia flight from Delhi to Sharjah, from Deoria in UP on May 11, said DCP(IGI) Dinesh Gupta.

The fake tickets were issued to Dhanoj Kumar Singh and Hafijullah Ansari by the accused charging them Rs 18,000, he said.

When Singh and Ansari reached Indira Gandhi International Airport here to catch the flight on May 9, their boarding passes could not be prepared as the PNR number of their ticket was already issued to a passenger who had flown to Sharjah in April, said the officer.
