Unidentified miscreants today shot dead a man and his son in Ara district of Bihar, the police said.
Bhojpur Superintendent of Police Navin Chandra Jha said "Both of them were shot dead when they had gone for defecation in bushes on the outskirts of their village. A countrymade pistol and an iron rod have been seized from the spot where they were killed. "
The incident happened at Bhaluhi village under Narayanpur police station.
The deceased have been identified as Ramgovind Sah (50) and his son Santosh Sah (25).
In another incident, a police constable Kashinath Yadav (50), who was shot at Dalipur village under Jagdishpur sub-division late last night, succumbed to his injuries today while being taken to Patna for better treatment.
