The FBI said today that it received a warning last month from a person "close to" Florida school shooter Nikolas Cruz that he was a danger but that it failed to act.
"The caller provided information about Cruzs gun ownership, desire to kill people, erratic behavior, and disturbing social media posts, as well as the potential of him conducting a school shooting," the FBI said in a statement.
The information was not handled appropriately, however, the FBI said, and no action was taken.
