FC Goa made the perfect start in their first friendly match of the pre-season ahead of the Indian Super League, as they scored a comfortable 3-0 win over Sesa Academy at the Tilak Stadium here today.
FC Goa coach Zico, who fielded six foreigners at the start, made a perfect beginning as they dominated the game and had more of the ball possession. They took the lead in the 29th minute as Holicharan Narzaray found the net off a pass from Jewel Raja.
Zico latter made rotation to their remaining foreign players and held sway over the local team and scored two more goals through Minguel Herlein and Tolgay Ozbey.
With the ISL starting on October 12, FC Goa play their first match against Chennaiyin FC on October 15.
