FC Goa would be looking to maintain their top position when they take on Mumbai City in an Indian Super League match tomorrow at the Nehru Stadium here.

FC Goa, along with FC Pune City and Delhi Dynamos have 15 points, but have played one match less than them. Tomorrow, the side would be looking to avenge their 0-2 away defeat.

With five rounds to go, the place for the semifinals is heating up as only five points separate the top and bottom placed team. In fact, all the eight teams have a chance to qualify for the semis.

Mumbai City, who were among the top-four at one stage after their resounding 5-1 win over North East United, have managed to garner only two points from their last three games to occupy the sixth position.

Mumbai coach Nicolas Anelka knows how important it is to win tomorrow as it will take his side to 15 points the same as the home team and move to top on better goal difference.

With Sunil Chhetri and Sonny Norde absent, the visitors lacked creativity in attack in their last match but now that Chhetri is back in the side, Anelka is looking for a win tomorrow to push themselves on top of the chart.

"We have not won in our last three matches and we need a win badly to move forward and hopefully our boys will give their best and win tomorrow. The team is strong at the back and we have the advantage over our opponents having beaten them at home. I know that it is going to be a tough match but our boys are prepared to fight and give their best in order to win tomorrow," stated Anelka.

FC Goa continue to have injury problems as Lucio, Rafael, Bikramjit Singh, Joaquim Abranches are not fit and will not play tomorrow.

FC Goa coach Zico said he is pleased with the way his team is playing.

"Despite injuries to our players, the team has performed well as a unit and every player who got the opportunity has responded well. The team is on the right track but cannot relax now as every side is playing well and we need to be cautious and maintain the winning momentum," Zico said.
