A Food Corporation India (FCI) team led by its Executive Director Abhishek Kumar today visited grain markets here to review wheat procurement operations.
Talking to reporters here, Kumar said wheat procurement from Punjab by FCI could be lower this season because of adverse impact of inclement weather conditions.
To a query on border sealed by Haryana for preventing Punjab farmers to bring crop, he said that he would take up the matter with Haryana government in this regard.
He was accompanied by Senior Regional Manager FCI Kumar Rahul.
