The Federation of Cine Technicians & Workers of Eastern India today expressed grief over the death of a Bollywood technician during the outdoor shoot of a Hindi film in South 24 Parganas district.
"It is an unfortunate incident. We have apprised our all India unit about the death of a technician at an outdoor shoot on Tuesday night," Federation president Swarup Biswas told PTI today.
"According to our information, Shah Alam, the technician, went up to switch off the power line after end of the day's shoot when the tragedy struck," he said.

The tragedy involving Alam, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, took place at the location spot of Anushka Sharma starrer "Pari" at Korolberia under Leather Complex police station limits.
He was declared dead at a local hospital, police said.
Karnesh Sharma, the co-producer of the film, had yesterday said, "In an unfortunate incident while shooting yesterday, we lost one of our unit members, Shah Alam from lighting department. Despite our best efforts and medical assistance, he could not be saved.
