Looking to crack down on the sale of adulterated food items, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has collected samples from 19 establishments here, a senior official said today.
FDA official Vineet Kumar said that, after a test of the samples, cases will be lodged against those establishments which are found guilty of selling adulterated products.
With a view to checking the sale of adulterated food items and spurious drugs, FDA teams took samples from 19 establishments here on January 8 and 9.

Meanwhile, the RWA federation of Ghaziabad said it is planning to launch a campaign to inform masses through posters and pamphlets about the ways for detecting adulteration in various eatables.
The federation will also publish a list of all those shops here which had avoided the inspection by FDA teams by staying shut, an office bearer of the body said, adding that an appeal would be made to the people against purchasing items from such shops.
