Feedback Energy Distribution Company (FEDCO) today said it has inked pacts with 3 discoms of Madhya Pradesh to provide management operator (MO) model for power transmission across five divisions of the state.

"The agreement was signed and exchanged between FEDCO and M P Power Management Company Ltd on May 29, 2017," FEDCO said in a statement.

According to the statement, the MO model is a derivative of the distribution franchisee model of PPP in electricity distribution.

It aims to provide better consumer services and thus improve the financial health of discoms in the state.

Under this, a number of activities will be carried out by FEDCO such as meter installation and services, feeder metering and energy audit, revenue collection and services and meter reading, bill distribution and billing quality.

"The contracts for selected divisions in 3 distribution companies have been awarded to FEDCO after a competitive bidding. We expect them to quickly show results which would not only enhance the consumer service standards but also lead to performance improvement and loss reduction in these areas," he further said.

"FEDCO is committed to provide its customers with reliable and quality power, teamed with superior customer service. The success of our Orissa distribution business is a testament to this fact," FEDCO MD Devtosh Chaturvedi said in the statement.

The area that FEDCO will be serving includes Shivpuri, Katni, Dewas, Indore rural and Jabalpur rural, servicing a consumer base of approximately half a million.
