Federal Bank Q3 net up 15% at Rs 265 crore

Total income has increased to Rs 2,090.01 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2013

Federal Bank has reported a 15% rise in its standalone net profit at Rs 264.69 crore for the third quarter ended December 2014.

The bank's net profit stood at Rs 230.13 crore in the corresponding October-December quarter of the previous fiscal.

"Total income has increased from Rs 1,895.92 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2013 to Rs 2,090.01 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2014," it said in a filing to the BSE.

Bank's net non-performing assets (NPAs) rose to 0.69%, from 0.86% in the similar quarter a year ago.

While, the gross NPAs were trimmed to 2.19% of the total advances, from 2.83% in the year ago period.
 
Shares of the bank today closed 2.2% lower at Rs 144.80 per piece on the BSE.
