Actor Sonu Sood, who has been applauded for his performances in 'Dabangg' and 'Shootout at Wadala', says he feels good when a character enacted by an actor becomes more popular than him.

"It is an important phase of my life. I am enjoying playing the roles I am doing now. I hope my upcoming films do well, bring laurels for all of us," Sonu told PTI.

The actor played a villain in 'Dabangg' and his role of 'Bhaiyaji' was liked by all. Now Sonu has interesting films lined up like 'R...Rajkumar' and 'Happy New Year'.

"I am proud to be called as Bhaiyaji. My role in 'R...Rajkumar' is too good, may be people will then remember me as Shivraj. And even I have an interesting role in 'Happy New Year'. When characters become big and popular than our names then it feels good," he said.

Sonu has teamed up with Shah Rukh Khan for Farah Khan's next directorial venture 'Happy New Year'.

"I have thoroughly enjoyed watching Shah Rukh Khan as an actor. Working with him as a co-actor and producer was great. He is the finest actor to come across," he said.

Sonu is one such actor who has worked with the two rival Khans - Salman and Shah Rukh.

"Both are great people. They are successful people and their niceness is reflected in their work. It was nice working with both of them," he said.

Though dancing is not Sonu's forte, he has still tried his best in the department. He will be seen shaking a leg in the song 'Kaddu Katega' from 'R...Rajkumar' and also in Farah's film.

"I liked dancing...I enjoyed it thoroughly. I am sure people will like it," he added.
