Stamping their approval in the battle against recent spurt in crimes, over 20 beautiful 'Femme's sashayed the ramp to declare femininity is more than mere displaying bodies.
"We want to state in unequivocal terms that we are concerned with the recent incidents but not overawed. We can't be intimidated, none can't take away our rights to walk, think freely," model-turned one of the zonal finalists contestants of FBB Femina Miss India Ayesha Ghosh told PTI here.
Ayesha, a wild card entry into the top 20 finalists here, said, "We all have pride in our femininity. We know a woman can be equally compassionate, soft-natured and assertive. Our brief from the coordinator is to put up a genuine smile every time you stand on the aisle as the smile of a lady can light up hundred faces."

FBB Femina Miss India Director Anu Ahuja, behind the grooming of the contestants, said, "We didn't find such confidence level even 10 years back among girls wanting to make their marks."
"The exposure to different kinds of media, including channels, makes them supremely assertive and they don't appear tentative any more. And yes we here speak out against any kind of abuse of women and girls," Ahuja, associated with the pageant for years, said.
"We had randomly picked up the wild card contestant who had made on-line entry and she proved to be the right choice. (This proves) Each and every modern girl is a potential winner if imparted proper grooming tips," Ahuja said.
The two city pageants, Delhi and Kolkata, will culminate in the final rounds of auditions in Mumbai.
