Shares of fertilisers companies gained were in limelight today, surging up to 20 per cent, in an otherwise weak stock market.
Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals surged 19.97 per cent, while Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals gained 11.53 per cent on the BSE.
Shares of Zuari Agro Chemicals climbed 5.25 per cent, Chambal Fertilizers & Chemicals rose by 4.57 per cent, Coromandel International (4.52 per cent), National Fertilizers (3.80 per cent) and Rashtriya Chemicals Fertilizers (1.23 per cent).
In contrast the broader market benchmark index Sensex ended the day with a loss of 61.54 points at 26,995.87.
