In a bid to cope up with heavy festival rush, the North Eastern Railway (NER) has introduced two special trains between Anand Vihar Terminal (Delhi) to Gorakhpur and Chhapra to Anand Vihar terminal.
NER would run would run the special trains between Anand Vihar Terminal-Gorakhpur and Chapra-Anand Vihar Terminal to-and-fro, an NER spokesman said here today.
05027 Gorakhpur-ANVT Expresss will run on every Tuesday and Saturday, starting from October 12 to November 16. Similarly, 05028 ANVT-Gorakhpur Express will run on every Wednesday and Sunday from October 13 to November 17, he said.

Meanwhile, due to remodelling of Gorakhpur Yard, Mumbai and Ahmedabad bound trains are being run from Basti station instead of Gorakhpur Junction.
The remodelling and non-interlocking of the yard will continue till October 6, the spokesman said.
The intercity express trains from Gorakhpur to Chhapra and Nautanwa will remain cancelled during the period, he said, adding that several trains are being terminated at Gorakhpur Cantt and Basti stations.
