FICCI LO North East Chapter in association with the Sashastra Seema Bal(SSB) Frontier Headquarters, Guwahati is organising an event to collect essential items and cash for the relief of Nepal quake victims at the Gauhati Medical College Auditorium on Sunday, said a FICCI Ladies Organisation release here today.
The SSB has arranged to send 12 vehicle loads of relief material to Nepal through Siliguri Frontier of the Bal for the affected people of the earthquake that shook Nepal on April 25, the release said.
The event, a Charitable Musical Night, would feature melodious renditions of songs and music by SSB Central Jazz Band and various renowned artists of Guwahati, it said.
The event would create a bond of humanity, friendship and brotherhood showcasing the humane face of citizens of Guwahati by donating generously to bring relief to the suffering of the affected people, the release said.
