"Far ahead of many countries in the world in terms of scenic beauty, Uttarakhand has great potential for film shoots because of its idyllic Himalayan environs," he said after attending the ongoing Australian Film Festival at Silvercity multiplex here.
The state government will build one in Dehradun on the lines of Noida film city near Delhi to attract filmmakers to shoot their movies in the state, he said.
Given Dehradun's proximity to the national capital and its good connectivity, it should not be difficult to undertake such a task, Bahuguna said.
