Film director files defamation case against actress

Film director Rupesh Paul has filed a defamation case against Bollywood actress Sherlyn Chopra who stars in his film "Kamasutra 3D", alleging that the actor had abused him on a social networking site.

In his complaint, filed before Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate Court recently, Paul alleged that the actor had abused him on social networking site Twitter. The court posted the case for further proceedings to March 5.

Paul submitted that on January 15, the actor took to Twitter to direct abusive, obscene, comments against him.

Earlier, Chopra had filed a complaint in a police station in Mumbai alleging that Paul did not pay the remaining Rs seven lakh of her total remuneration for acting in the film.
 

She had also alleged that Paul had threatened to forfeit her remaining remuneration for the movie "Kamasutra 3D", after she rejected his sexual advances.
