Television actor Mukesh Khanna says the government should make film education a part of school curriculum.

Participating at an open forum on inculcating film culture among children, Khanna, who is the Chairman of Children's Film Society, India, said content of children's film should be created with a motive to teach them.

"It is not enough to just make films for children but it is important to ensure that they are screened in theatres.

"Content of films for children should be good in order to educate and entertain them. Minimum amount of investment and maximum story-telling should be our motto," he said.

Film columnist Avinash Tripathi said that big producers in Bollywood do not make films for children as they don't find them commercially viable.
