A three-day Mumbai International Film Festival (MIFF) with 30 award-winning films from seven countries began here today.
The state minister for information and cultural affairs, Bhanulal Saha, who inaugurated the festival, said it was jointly organized by the Films Division of Government of India and the United Films Professionals Association (UFPA).
UFPA secretary Sanjib Das said, the films include short, animation and documentary films from India, Bangladesh, Australia, Romania, United Arab Emirates, Azerbaijan and Norway which were made within the last decade.
The films which would be screened include "9X9" (Azerbaijan), "Gulabi Gang" (Norway), "True Love Story" (India), "Ali and the Ball" (Australia), "Music in the Blood" (Romania), "17 Not Required Indians" (UAE), "Are You Listening" (Bangladesh).
