"The film should be made tax free and compulsory for school children to enlighten them about the heroic deeds of the revolutionary fighter," film producer Mukesh Choukse said.
The film will be exhibited in a local theatres here tomorrow, he told reporters here.
Tantya Bheel fought British forces with valour during the pre-independence days and acquired the image of Robinhood among tribals of the region, he said.
"Since no material was available in India about him, the historical background of the revolutionary fighter was brought from England," Choukse said.
He claimed that on the basis of available documents, his film portrays that Tantya Bheel was killed in an encounter while people in India know that he was hanged.
The encounter was done somewhere between Katni-Itarsi and Jabalpur, he claimed, adding that his body was not handed over to his family members at that time.

Choukse said that during the shooting of the film on railway track with a horse showing the hero brandishing a sword, railway police have registered 48 cases against the film crew.
A railway court also imposed a fine of Rs five lakh on them for violating rules but after the authorities were briefed about the facts the fine was reduced to Rs 35,000 and all the cases were disposed of.
The film was given U/A certificate as Tantya was shown smoking in the film, he said.
It has been dubbed in five languages including Hindi, English, Gujarati, Marathi and Bhojpuri at budget of about Rs one crore, Choukse said.
The producer is also working on a proposal to make a film on another revolutionary leader 'Bheema Nayak' and is trying to rope in Sunny Deol for the lead role.
