Quadri, who started his career as a writer and actor with 'Gangs Of Wasseypur' in 2009, is all set to make his debut as director with a gangster film. He was last seen in Tigmanshu Dhulia's home production 'Revolver Rani'.

"The film will have several incidents of kidnapping and murder. One such case to appear in the film will most likely be of kidnapping of Noida industrialist Kapil Gupta... The name of the characters and everything is changed," sources told PTI, without divulging any further details.

Zeishan is excited to be directing this crime film.

"The film is based on a real-life incident. It is about six friends who are young and who turn gangsters for money. I love to play with the crime genre. The film is based in Meerut. We will start shooting for it in June and plan to release it in March-April next year," Zeishan told PTI.

Zeishan is in talks with several actors including Aditya Pancholi, Sanjay Mishra, Jaideep Ahlawat, Aakash Dahiya. He himself won't be acting.

Zeishan had written the story and co-written the screenplay of Anurag Kashyap's 'Gangs of Wasseypur'.
