A representative of filmmaker Ram Gopal Verma today approached a local court seeking directions to police to register a case against Regional Officer of the Andhra Pradesh Censor Board, A. Dhanalakshmi for allegedly using "abusive and unparliamentary language" against him.
In his private complaint, Sudheer Chandra requested the court to direct police to register a case against Dhanalakshmi under sections 166 (public servant disobeying law, with intent to cause injury to any person) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.
According to the complainant, Dhanalakshmi cleared the release of 'Satya-2' (Telugu version), starring Sharwanand and Anaika, with around 40 cuts without any valid reason.

However, when it was brought to her notice that 'Satya-2'(Hindi version) was awarded an 'A' certificate with three minor cuts by the Censor Board at Mumbai, Dhanalakshmi "without any rhyme or reason screamed out abusive and unparliamentary language against me", Sudheer alleged.
"Owing to her random demands and her negligence in maintaining office timings, the film had to be released in a very haphazard way with irritating cuts which disrupted the artistic flow of the film," the petitioner contended.
"These cuts were made to satisfy her ego and with vested self-interests," the complainant alleged and sought for court's direction to the police for registration of a case against her.
The matter is likely to come up for hearing tomorrow.
Dhanalakshmi could not be reached for comment.
