Voodoo Fest organisers were forced to cancel performances by artists including Deadmau5 and Third Eye Blind as heavy rain flooded the venue in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Officials decided to axe the final day of the three-day music and arts bash as "dangerous weather conditions" were forecast for City Park, and they later shared photos of the soaked grounds on social media, reported Rolling Stone magazine.

Alongside the images, a representative wrote, "The decision to cancel today was based on the safety of the Tribe - fans, artists, staff, vendors, and all involved."

The Zac Brown Band, Slightly Stoopid, The Cult and Eric Prydz had also been due to perform.

Florence + The MAChine headlined Friday night's events, while Ozzy Osbourne played through the rain on Halloween to hit the stage with Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler, rock legend Slash, and Rage Against the MAChine's Tom Morello.
