Fine of Rs 4 lakh imposed for selling adulterated ghee

A district authority has imposed a fine of Rs 4 lakh on a man and his son for selling adulterated ghee.

Additional district magistrate Dilip Kumar passed the order against Dinesh Sahu and his son Chetan for manufacturing and selling adulterated ghee in four separate cases under Food Security and Standards Act, 2006, two days ago, a government official said.

A raid on Sahus' factory located on Sanwar road had led to seizure of 1,720 kg of adulterated ghee.
