North-East industrial conglomerate, FINER, today apprised the Minister for Development of North Eastern Region Jitendra Singh about the issues relating to the area that need to be addressed urgently.
Federation of Industry and Commerce of North Eastern Region (FINER) chairman R S Joshi, in a meeting held in Delhi, asked the Minister to continue the North-East Industrial and Investment Promotion Policy (NEIIPP) 2007 till 2017 as its termination will affect the plan to make the region a hub for connectivity with the ASEAN countries and jeopardise the Prime Minister's 'Make in India' initiative.
FINER welcomes the Minister's initiative on 'Make in North-East' campaign on the lines of the 'Make in India' initiative, said a FINER release issued here.
