FIR against 3 media college students for ragging junior

An FIR was lodged today against three students of a media college here after their junior alleged that he was ragged and beaten by them, police said.

They said the victim, a first year student in a Noida based mass communication institute, has lodged an FIR at sector 39 police station against three final year students alleging ragging and assault.

The victim also alleged that an MMS of the incident was made by his seniors which they were using to blackmail him. They also demanded cash from him and threatened to upload the video on internet in case he did not do so, they said.
 

The victim had informed the college authorities about the incident but no action was taken.

"An FIR was lodged against the three students and a manhunt has been launched to arrest them," Shiv Ram Yadav, Deputy Superintendent of Police, said.
