An FIR has been registered here against 38 persons, including a DG and IG, for allegedly abetting the suicide of the son and daughter-in-law of poet-lyricist Santosh Anand, a senior police official said.
Santosh Anand's son Sankalp (38), along with his wife Naresh Nandini (34) and daughter Ridhima (five) had jumped in front of a train in Mathura on October 15. While the husband-wife duo died on the spot, the daughter survived.
"The FIR, filed late last night in Kosi Kalan police station, contains names of DG Kamlendra Prasad and IG Sandip Mittal. The designation of other accused have not been mentioned, though their names have been mentioned," Deputy SP Atul Kumar Srivastava said today.

Sandip Mittal was the DIG, Administration, at the institute.
"The FIR under Section 306 (abetment of suicide) has been registered in Kosi Kalan police station on the basis of the complaint given by Santosh Anand," he said.
Deputy SP Srivastava, who on Thursday lead a police team to Delhi, said the team interacted with Santosh Anand and took his written complaint.
The police party also went to Lok Nayak Jaiprakash Narayan Institute of Criminology and Forensic Science to collect Sankalp's handwriting and other documents, he said.
Sankalp and his family had come to Mathura from Delhi. They then went to the railway tracks near Kosi Kalaan town in Mathura and threw themselves before an approaching train, police had said.
According to officials in Delhi, the Home Ministry had sought a report from the Uttar Pradesh government taking cognisance of reports that Sankalp jumped in front of the train allegedly due to constant harassment of a few colleagues at the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan National Institute of Criminology and Forensic Science.
Meanwhile, the police has registered statements of a lineman, an eatery owner, his son and his employee, all witnesses of the incident.
